Mystery novels
I just returned from the monthly meeting of Croak & Dagger, the Albuquerque chapter of Sisters in Crime. The guest speaker tonight was Virginia Swift (she writes non-fiction under the name of Virginia Scharff). She's one of our local authors, as she teaches history at the University of New Mexico. The protagonist of her novels is Mustang Sally, and they take place in Laramie, Wyoming. Her books, in order from first to last, are Brown-Eyed Girl, Bad Company, Bye, Bye, Love, and hot off the press, Hello Stranger. I was lucky enough to score a free, autographed copy of the latter, having been the first one with chutzpah enough to ask for it at the end of the meeting. You can also sign up at www.AuthorTracker.com for email notice when her next book comes out from HarperCollins Publishers.
